Matt Hagan, driver, Shelor.com Motor Mile Funny Car. A cattle rancher and former Pro Mod Rookie of the Year from Christianburg, Virginia, Hagan competed mostly in IHRA Funny Car competition in 2007 before teaming up with DSR for 2008. His first final round appearance came only four races into the season making him a solid contender for NHRA Rookie of the Year and a dark horse contender for the NHRA Championship.

DSR owner, Don Schumacher, and drivers Tony Schumacher, Cory McClenathan, Ron Capps, Jack Beckman and Matt Hagan are proud to contribute   helmets to the Great Helmet Auction. We encourage all NHRA fans to support this exciting program benefiting PRO and RFC, two organizations that provide unparalleled services to all professional drivers, teams and families.  All five DSR drivers are contributing helmets worn in competition at the 2009 O’Reilly NHRA Midwest Nationals in Madison, IL

OVERALL GREAT HELMET AUCTION DISCLAIMER: A “Great Helmet Auction” helmet would be a great addition to any motorsport collection.  Most racecar drivers do not sell their helmets, so winning one or several from the “Great Helmet Auction” makes this collectible even more valuable!  If you are the winning bidder on a helmet you can choose to have your name or company designated as the winner (optional), and it will be included in all post-auction press releases promoting the “Great Helmet Auction”.  A “Certificate of Authenticity” will also be issued with the helmet to confirm the signature and helmet authenticity.

These helmets are being auctioned individually as part of the Professional Racers Owners Organization (PRO) “Great Helmet Auction” promotion.  “Winning bids will benefit PRO, a trade organization providing services and other benefits to professional drag racing team owners and drivers, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting Racers for Christ (Team RFC), an organization which has been servicing NHRA for over 25 years.”

DISCLAIMER: A Great Helmet Auction helmet is being auctioned as a motorsport collectible, and may not be used as a functioning helmet.
